This blog is a vehicle for a few things.

My intention I guess if to poster female desire & sex un-abashedly. As a woman in the creative arts I am curious of other women in similar fields such as film and fashion. Not just well known Artists/ Icons but every female who is contributing in some way- having a say. I'd like my photographs to convey Sex and sensuality mix together. The aim is to create images that are Startling. Mysterious and free spirited. I invite other artists who are up for collaborations to get in touch - be it photo projects/ perfomance art or experimental works. 'Nobody's here but me' American Photographer- Cindy Sherman

By turning the camera to herself, Sherman's photographs highlight stereotypes of women. Whether it'shousewife/ mother/ whore / dancer or monster. Moving from New Jersey to NY in 1976 Sherman took a loft in lower Manhattan & began shooting pictures of herself. Highly stylized photographs, inspired by heroines in long ago films. She dresses in wigs hats and dresses to depict different characters. Each is unique & ambiguous- confusing to an extent. Sherman personality disguised beneath her chameleon like narratives. These photographs went on to become her most famous work to date, known as the Untitled Film Stills. In 1992 Sherman embarked on a series of photographs now referred to as "Sex Pictures." For the first time, Sherman is entirely absent from these photographs. Instead, she uses dolls and prosthetic body parts in highly sexual poses. Prosthetic genitalia photographed in extreme close-up. Using color as a means to shock. Sherman continued to experiment with the use of dolls and other replacements for what had previously been herself.

Filmmaker, artist, and writer. Miranda July’s videos are pretty damn special, check her out on Youtube. July's writings/ performances and web-based projects have been presented at the Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum and the 02/ 2004 Whitney Biennials. I highly recommend her short film- Me.
